Happy 7th Birthday Lily

Today our eldest Kindergartner has turned 7! It was a very cloudy day with rain and our Lily was so exited!
Inside the Yurt the kids were working hard on their giftcards. Cutting, pasting and drawing. During the activity there were kids playing and telling eachother stories.

The table and chair were decorated and the instruments were ready to use. I lit the candles and we sang happy birthday in English, Dutch and Chinese.

The children gave Lily their own made birthday card and she could finally give them treats. A thing she had looked forward to all of the week.

After the birthday celebrations we got our waterproofs and went to the puppies for the last time. They are going to go to their new owners this weekend. It is such a big difference in how we have met them the first time, they could barely walk and not they run, bark, chase and have tons of energy!

signs, rain, windows, rain, shelter, rain!

We now have some lovely new signs from one of our mums/superwomen, Jo

Mike and is fabulous assistant Fran put a new window in the loo during a torrential down pour!

And Ed from Devon Woodcrafts (http://www.devonwoodcraft.co.uk/) completed our beautiful shelter during some pretty poor weather conditions too! Most of the materials came from the woods around  us. So a massive thank you to Ed and apprentice and of course his lovely assistant Emma for putting up with children asking very technical questions and really muddy/slippy hazardous working conditions! xxx

Visiting the puppies.

Rain was pooring down today.  After we had circletime in the Yurt we dressed into our waterproofs and went outside. Today we were going to see the bordercollie puppies from Woody. Althought it was raining very heavily, none of us were cold or bothered by it thanks to the clothing.

On our way we walked through the woods and fields and arrived at the barn were we were greeted by 4 pups. The children were all very gentle with them, sitting on the floor in a circle so the puppies could come to them. Lots of hugs and kisses from the puppies and children. Hopefully we see them again soon and see how much they have grown.

Pizza al fresco!

Saturday 28th April 4pm - 9pm

Two Rivers School

Come and eat some freshly stone baked Pizza (and salad!) from our Cob oven which will hopefully have a brand new shelter over the top, courtesy of Ed from Devon Wood Craft! This is a family freindly event again, so bring the little ones. There are lots of cuishons in the yurt for tied bunnies.

There wll be live acoustic music from 'Sam I Am' who played at our music and food night, and maybe a couple of other people who will play sweet music!

Parking for those able bodied at the main Tapeley car park behind the house like at the musci and food night. Walk down the lane past the pigs. (you know the way by now!) Plus it's light until gone 8 now so it makes for a lovely stroll!
There is limited space up at the other end which is reserved for people who have difficulty walking, as we don't want to annoy our neighbours.

Hope to see you there!

xx
